Course Description
Learning medical terminology and healthcare terminology is the foundation to understanding about the human body. This course provides a systematic approach to learning complex medical terms is used in constructing, interpreting, pronouncing, and spelling. The focus will be on the study of the human body systems with an emphasis on the anatomy, human disease and health issues, including diagnostics, treatments, pharma therapeutics, and clinical procedures that are currently in practice. Students will learn how to apply medical terminology to International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) and other classification coding systems.
