Description
Battle brothers looking over their mules. Both of these boys attended the Nash County Training School. They are farming 125 acre farm with their mother, which they rent for 12 bales of cotton. They have 8 mules, plant 19 1/2 acres of tobacco, 35 acres of corn, 25 acres of peanutes, 25 acres of cotton, have 8 cows, 17 hogs, 1 boar, 1 brood saw, and own farm equipment including, a pick-up truck. Father operated the farm before his death. Persons in picture reading from left to right: John Battle, Ioan Battle. The Battle brothers attended Nash County Trade School in Nash County.
