This collection includes surviving print commencement bulletins from the University Archives and Special Collections. They were acquired from the Office of the Registrar and donations from university faculty and staff.
Summer Convocation programs from the 1930s to the 1950s are also included as many graduates of A&T received their degrees at these ceremonies.
Please also check college bulletins for more complete listings of university graduates, degrees and enrolled students in the Campus Bulletins and Catalogs links to the left sidebar.
A Note on a Numbering Discrepancy of the Commencement Bulletins
The first commencement from North Carolina A&T to award bachelor's degrees was on May 26, 1899. Until 1958, which was called the 60th, all the spring commencements were numbered in alignment with 1899.
For unknown reasons, the 1959 spring commencement was changed to the 65th. The 1960 commencement became the 69th which may have been intended to recognize the university’s founding year of 1891. This new commencement numbering order continued through 1999.
