Abstract
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape looks entirely different today compared to a year and half ago thanks to the release and rapid adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs). In this presentation, we will explore how LLMs, such as ChatGPT, can support research across a variety of public sector domains. Topics in this session include an introduction to LLMs and the range of tasks they can support, demonstrations of research applications developed at RTI International, and key takeaways on best practices from our experience utilizing LLMs. In addition, slides from this talk will include recommended educational resources for further learning and/or instruction on LLMs.
