The Journal of Creative Inquiry: Black Women Theories & Practice is a multi-dimensional open publishing repository for exploring and amplifying the voices of Black women. A digital platform to gather and curate diverse, narrative-rich accounts of Black women’s lived experiences and intellectual traditions as traditional epistemologies and research. To include the assembly of diverse perspectives and forms of expression the journal welcomes an anthological approach to scholarly publications methods including essays, oral histories, ethnographies, poetry, and multimedia contributions—each offering a distinct perspective on the intersection of race, gender, labor, and community. The inquiry-based framework of the journal encourages contributors to explore critical questions, challenge dominant narratives, and offer new theoretical insights grounded in the everyday practices, cultural knowledge, and activism of Black women.
