Course Description

This course continues the introduction to basic statistical reasoning, practices, and procedures that began in SOCI 203 Social Statistics I. We will cover topics such as descriptive statistics, statistical null- hypothesis testing, chi-square tests, independent and dependent samples t-test, correlational analysis, and one-way and two-way analysis of variance. We will also learn how to perform these statistical tests using the statistical computing software program SPSS. Throughout the course, we will emphasize the value that statistical analysis offers to our attempts to address real-world social problems.
